About the Symposium
In September 2025, Edmonton hosted the Teaching Polish Symposium, bringing together 146 delegates from across North America to discuss the future of Polish language education.
The Polonia Foundation in Alberta was proud to serve as Patron of this important event. Foundation President William Chodkiewicz provided a welcome letter included in the official symposium program.
The symposium was chaired by John Szumlas, Honourary Consul of Poland in Edmonton, and featured presentations from educators and experts in Polish language instruction.
